At the foot of the Himalayas
The breathtaking backdrop of the Himalayan range forms a soft board on which you can pin-up many memories – the magnificent tigers you spotted at Corbett National Park, the hike to Jhandhidar (Zero point – 2410m) for a spectacular view of the Himalayas, a visit to the Shiva temple, a walk along a ridge and then through dense oak and rhododendron forests, the cacophony of the Himalayan bird havens, the trek to the famous Kumaon villages, the excellent views of Almora, the hills of Kumaon and the greater Himalayas. Or if nothing else, you can just sit back and enjoy the pine, oak and cider forests in mesmerizing Mukteshwar, Binsar and Sat Tal.
