Hopping the islands

An island hopping trip in Greece could be anything from 10 days to 2 months. With so many islands to cover, time is of most importance. Start with Athens and visit the famous Acropolis and Parthenon, see the Changing of the guards ceremony at Parliament house, Temple of Zeus and the famed Olympic stadium. Spend your evenings strolling the streets of Plakaor visit Monastiraki Square, lined with tavernas. Take a cable car ride up to Lykavittos hill to get a great view of the entire city! Then begins your island hopping. The vibrant alleys, famed windmills, cobbled streets and Little Venice of Mykonos will mesmerize you. Visit the sacred island of Delos and watch the sun set from Paradise beach. Explore the 400 odd beautiful churches scattered along the small island or just binge on some delectable local Greek cuisine at some of the best restaurants. And then prepare yourself for Santorini; the white and blue island. Explore Fira, watch one of the best sunsets from Oia, swim in the hot springs, have mud baths, visit a dormant volcano, some wine tasting at the wine museum and the natural wonder that is the Red, White and Black beach. Crete will surprise you with how different it is from the previous two islands; the great Samarian George hike, castles and what not. Each and every island of Greece is different from the other so a trip to all of them at some point should be on your mind!
