Paradise of the Pacific
As soon as you arrive in Auckland you know you are in island country heaven. Breathtaking views from the Sky Tower, local delights at the cafes of Parnell Village in Devonport and leisure drives across the 100 mile Coromandel Peninsula; just few of the many lovely experiences in New Zealand! All you beach bums can pack your picnic baskets, lots of sunscreen and get ready to explore Cooks Beach and its surroundings; dig your own spa pool and visit the spectacle that is the glow worm cave (also the site of an active volcano). For adventure enthusiasts, the list is endless. With its surfing beaches, angling trips, Abel Tasman National Park, glacier walks at Franz Josef, flights to Mount Cook, a cruise around the fiords and the Wearable Arts Museum, etc., there is a dearth of things to do. Leave your watches behind and take a rail trip through the rainforest and limestone valley right up to the Nile River. Walk down Trumans Track or visit the Pancake Rocks and blowholes at Dolomite Point. A drive through Dunedin will take you to some of the most lush and fertile farmlands and old castles converted to hotels. The Monarch Wildlife Cruise treats you to the Royal Albatross colony and Yellow Eyed Penguin Reserve. To be honest, it would be unfair to sum up this glorious land and all it has to offer in a few paragraphs. You have to visit it to know it!
